A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Design Manager to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor, working across a strong pipeline of projects in Berkshire and the surrounding region.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Design Manager who wants to be part of a major main contractor, working on substantial projects with genuine long-term career progression.
The Opportunity
You will take a senior role within the design function, working closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors and clients to ensure projects are successfully delivered from pre-construction through to completion.
The role will involve:
- Leading and managing the design process across major construction projects
- Managing design teams, consultants and subcontractors
- Overseeing design development and coordinating design packages
- Working closely with the commercial and project delivery teams
- Managing key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensuring design programmes and deliverables are achieved
- Supporting the wider regional business across its growing pipeline of work
What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak with Senior Design Managers who have:
- Strong main contractor experience
- Proven experience managing design on major construction projects
- Experience leading design teams and external consultants
- Strong technical understanding of the construction process
- Excellent communication and stakeholder xgikmsk management skills
- The ability to take ownership and drive the design function forward
