An established main contractor is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of the external packages on a retirement living development in Henley. The scheme comprises four four-storey blocks providing 100 retirement properties. With the external works scheduled for completion in December, this will be a fast-paced role requiring strong coordination, quality control and programme management.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the management of all external works through to completion
- Coordinating subcontractors and monitoring progress against programme
- Overseeing SFS, terracotta cladding, brickwork and sheathing board packages
- Assisting with roof works, bolt-on balconies and associated interfaces
- Coordinating hard and soft landscaping works
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety, quality and workmanship
- Identifying potential delays and helping to resolve site issues
- Completing inspections, snagging and relevant site documentation
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience working as an Assistant Site Manager or in a similar site-based role
- Broad exposure to multiple external packages
- Experience across cladding, brickwork, SFS, roofing and landscaping
- Strong organisational and subcontractor-management skills
- The ability to work effectively within a fast-track programme
- Relevant construction qualifications and site-management certification
