An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Clinical Psychologist to work across 3 mental health services based in the Luton, Bedfordshire area. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers. These care homes deliver a comprehensive rehabilitation pathway that extends beyond early recovery, enabling you to support residents over the longer term and experience the reward of seeing them progress toward independence and discharge.

To be considered for this position you must have:

  • BPS recognised psychology degrees
  • HCPC Registered
  • Chartered Psychologist status

As the Clinical Psychologist your key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in the assessment of referrals, and providing initial assessment for service users referred to the service.
  • Undertaking high quality direct (assessment & therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory, and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions and making autonomous clinical decisions.
  • Working therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, undertaking assessments using a broad range of structured psychometric and semi-structured clinical methods.
  • Formulating and implementing plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of patients’ mental health needs based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence-based best practice.
  • Being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care.
  • Maintaining high standards of care in all areas of practice and in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines and Company Policies and Procedures.

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

  • Understanding of evidence-based psychological practice.
  • Experience of applying psychological knowledge to clinical/neuro.
  • Experience working with clients with cognitive deficits.
  • Previous experience of conducting research and project working.

The successful Psychologist will receive an excellent salary of £51,000 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
