Role Overview
An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in Woking, Surrey. The hospital offers tailored programmes to improve patients’ mental health and wellbeing and provides both NHS and private healthcare.
Eligible candidates: Counsellors or Clinical Psychologist registered with HCPC/BPS.
This permanent part‑time position is 22.5 hours a week with an attractive salary of £34,950 pro rata.
Key Duties
- Identifying a patient’s psychological, emotional and behavioural problems.
- Developing and implementing treatment plans and therapeutic processes for patients.
- Helping patients define plans and goals to achieve personal, educational and social development and adjustment.
- Monitoring the progress of patients through meetings and sessions.
- Helping clients make positive progress in their lives and providing support and advice to carers.
- Conducting scientific research of behaviour and brain function to determine better treatments.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience practicing in DBT and CBT modalities.
- Ability to work integratively.
- Knowledge and experience of at least one other psychological model.
- Demonstrated respect towards, and the ability to cooperate with, colleagues and the support team.
- Can‑do attitude at all times.
