DSE Assessor opportunity for someone with experience in Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessments, ergonomics, occupational health, or workplace wellbeing, with the potential to secure a permanent position following an initial contract period.

Location: Whitehall, London

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Contract: Initial 3-month contract with a view to becoming permanent

Rate: £26.63 per hour via Umbrella Company (Inside IR35 equivalent)

Compliance: Candidates must have evidence of a completed BPSS Report (or Enhanced DBS) and be willing to obtain SC Clearance for the permanent role.

The Role: You will be supporting Government departments using the Awaken DSE assessment system, managing and reviewing online assessments and conducting follow-up consultations to recommend appropriate workplace adjustments and equipment solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing online DSE assessments for office-based and remote workers.
  • Reviewing completed self-assessments and identifying equipment requirements.
  • Conducting both face-to-face and remote assessments via Microsoft Teams.
  • Providing guidance on workstation setup, posture, ergonomics and wellbeing.
  • Producing detailed assessment reports and recommendations.
  • Advising on DSE best practice and relevant legislation.
