Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Social Media Officer to lead the execution of multi-brand social media strategies across a variety of platforms. This role involves managing content calendars, driving paid and organic campaigns, and collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners. You’ll monitor trends, analyse performance metrics, and leverage AI tools to enhance campaign effectiveness. With a passion for social media and a strong focus on data-driven results, you\’ll play a key role in shaping brand presence and engagement. Ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage social media calendars that align with broader marketing campaigns and business goals.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of all social media channels, including scheduling posts, monitoring activity, social listening and responding to comments and messages.
  • Collaborate with wider marketing team and external stakeholders to deliver content for planned calendars.
  • Dive into performance metrics to track KPIs, analyse engagement data, and identify actionable insights to improve strategy and content effectiveness.
  • Drive paid media strategy on social media (Paid Campaigns on Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok) this includes developing, optimising and managing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to align social media campaigns (Design, Content, PPC).
  • Reporting on social media metrics on a weekly and monthly basis and for client reports on a quarterly basis as well as to guide content planning (organic and paid).
  • Identify social media opportunities by staying informed on the latest social media changes, updates, trends and new features.
  • Use AI tools to maximise efficiency and campaign performance.
  • The above will apply to at least 6 brands, with multiple social accounts / platforms. Platforms include Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Proven 3 to 5 years’ experience in social media, preferably within a digital agency, working across multiple brands and channels.
  • Bonus: Experience with Tourism/Financial Services or Political Industries.
  • Strong understanding of conversion tracking, algorithms and platform specific factors.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in tools such as SEMrush, Hootsuite and AI advantageous.
  • Informed on AI and its impact on social media.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Must be able to speak, write and communicate fluently in English.
