We currently have a great opportunity for a qualified and experienced Financial Controller / Head of Finance to join our team based at our South Luffenham site.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks- Financial Management and Reporting
- Weekly reporting and analysis of company performance for the previous week
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Oversight year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors
- Management of credit control process, corresponding directly with customers as necessary
- Managing the transactional team and overseeing/reviewing sales ledger, purchase ledger, group payroll and accounting functions
- Manage cash flow across the group, monitoring funds and bank transactions
- Arrangement of hire purchase funding
- Develop and maintain internal controls
- Ensure compliance across the group with HMRC (VAT, PAYE, Corporation tax, etc)
- Responsibility for the statutory records of the business and ensuring that the financial processes, systems and controls are operating effectively
- Ensure compliance with other legislation as necessary, such as Employer Packing Regulations
- Work with directors and department heads to support strategy and decision making
- Liaise with and support the Finance Managers of the two sister businesses
- Assist group FD as necessary with budgeting and banking/insurance/legal relationships
- ACA, ACCA, Cima or equivalent
- Sound understanding of PAYE, VAT and corporation tax
- Proven track record of successfully managing a finance team
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of project management
- Strong IT skills, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Xero accounting software packages is ideal
- Understanding of Payroll, TMS and WMS systems is preferred
