International Freight Forwarding Specialist in South Luffenham

Operating within a fast-paced and ever-evolving industry, we specialise in the planning, coordination, and management of freight movements across international borders via road, air, sea, and rail. Due to continued growth, we are looking for experienced and driven individual to join our South Luffenham operation and help shape the future success of the business.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced ambitious freight forwarding professional to compliment the team with a view to growing operation. You will play a role in driving business development, maintaining service excellence, and ensuring the continued profitability of the business.

The role would include managing global transportation whilst ensuring trade compliance, identifying and securing new business opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and enhancing the day-to-day operational performance of the branch.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive business growth through proactive business development and customer engagement.
• Identify new opportunities and seek to convert prospects into long-term customers.
• Ensure exceptional service delivery from enquiry through to final delivery.
• Develop and maintain strong Customer and Supplier relationships.
• Manage operational activities across air, sea, road and rail freight services.
• Manage profitability, pricing strategies and gross margins.
• Ensure compliance with customs procedures, import/export regulations and industry requirements.
• Monitor performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Several years of experience in international freight forwarding.
• Extensive knowledge of air, ocean, road and multimodal freight operations.
• Good understanding of customs procedures, import/export documentation and international trade compliance.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation and organisational abilities.
• Confidence using transport management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

• Permanent | Full-Time | Office-Based - Monday to Friday
