Versatile is a full service Live Events & Brand Marketing company operating from a central base in Rutland in the East Midlands. We have an excellent reputation built on a decade of experience creating exceptional Brand Marketing Roadshows and Live Events. Versatile Venues are currently recruiting for Class 1 & 2 Events Operators (with minimum Class 2 License required) to work with specialist vehicles and trailers at exhibitions, roadshows & other promotional events where our services are required by our clients.
The runs are daily/weekly/overnight stays or as per the needs of the business. The operator should be flexible in any given week working on an any 5 days in 7 basis and will be required to work weekends when bookings dictate (often). Weekends will have to be booked as holiday if/when there is work available.
GENERAL- Drive, deliver & collect specialist trailers and vehicles to client locations.
- Fully assemble and derig Versatile owned and Client owned vehicles and trailers.
- Exhibition stand build delivery/install and derig.
- Full event set up as pre briefing including full test and clean of asset.
- Be onsite to oversee and support the client activity.
- Oversee keys systems during live event days, (e.g. ensure generator fuel full throughout etc.).
- Report on spend and hours, being aware to keep unnecessary spends to a minimum.
- Confidently communicate via calls and messages with the account managers and clients.
- Derigging, packing, dismantling return equipment securely.
- Reporting on any defects and damages.
- Be flexible within legal working hours.
- Adhere to the H&S system and plans in place.
- Complete any daily and weekly documents required.
- To assist partnering business in quiet times with General Haulage runs.
- To drive revenue to the business by supporting the commercial function when onsite at events, via driver referral scheme.
- To drive and work in a safe manner observing all speed limits, road restrictions and on-site safety regulations.
- Ensure full adherence to strict Health and Safety procedures at Versatile and client & customer sites/venues.
- Dress smartly, wearing the correct uniform as per supplied at all times.
- Always wear PPE equipment supplied, safety boots, high viz tabards, and bump caps when opening and closing trailers/vehicles.
- To keep all unnecessary spend and hours to a minimum to reduce impact on the group profit share.
- To look after vehicles and assets both Versatile and client owned with respect, keeping damages to a minimum and cleanliness a top priority.
- Minimum of Class 2 driving experience. – HGV Class 1 licence preferred however a minimum of Class 2 licence is required.
