Crystallise Ltd is seeking a senior Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) professional to take ownership of our literature review capability and play a key role in building our health economic modelling offer. This is a leadership role with real autonomy, direct client influence, and a clear pathway to Head of HEOR within three years.
You will lead our established Reviews team, deliver high-quality systematic reviews and/or economic models for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients, and help shape innovative, technology-enabled approaches to evidence synthesis. This role suits someone who wants visible impact, strategic influence, and the opportunity to grow a function rather than operate within a large, layered consultancy.
Crystallise Ltd combines rigorous analytical expertise with a strong focus on innovation. Our Reviews team delivers high-quality literature reviews and Evidence Maps for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, while our modelling specialists support insurers and actuaries with longevity and mortality modelling. We are now expanding our HEOR capability by strengthening our reviews function and developing new health economic modelling expertise, drawing on skills across the business.
We have invested heavily in tools and platforms that modernise evidence synthesis, including our Evidence Mapper platform, and continue to collaborate closely with our R&D team to develop AI-driven and technology-enabled approaches.
The Role
- Lead and develop our literature reviews team and/or health economic modelling capability.
- Take responsibility for delivery of systematic reviews and/or economic evaluations for HTA submissions, publications, and internal decision-making.
- Act as a senior point of contact for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients, from proposal development through to final delivery.
- Shape and improve HEOR workflows by collaborating with our R&D team on innovative tools and platforms.
- Mentor and manage junior team members, supporting their development and ensuring high-quality, timely delivery.
- Contribute to the growth of our client base through strong relationships and repeat business.
This is not a sales role, but you will be expected to help grow our HEOR offering through trusted client relationships and high-quality work. This role offers a clear and credible progression pathway. Over the next three years, the successful candidate will be expected to:
- Strengthen and expand HEOR delivery capability.
- Grow and retain pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.
- Take increasing responsibility for strategy and resourcing.
Successful delivery will position you to become Head of HEOR.
What We’re Looking For
You will bring 5+ years’ experience in HEOR within a consultancy or agency environment, with experience in at least one of the following:
- Leading all aspects of systematic literature reviews.
- Developing and delivering health economic models for HTA and other decision‑making contexts.
You will also have:
- Experience managing projects and liaising directly with pharmaceutical clients.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to synthesise complex evidence clearly and concisely.
- Meticulous attention to methodological rigour and quality.
- Experience working across a range of disease areas and intervention types.
- A collaborative, supportive approach to working with colleagues, partners, and subcontractors.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
Technical experience will include:
- Microsoft Office and reference management software.
- Experience constructing systematic searches and/or developing economic models (e.g. in R or similar languages), depending on your specialism.
Working at Crystallise
- Fully remote working (within ±2 hours of UK time).
- Collaborative, non-hierarchical culture.
- Strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Opportunity to shape tools, processes, and strategy.
- Meaningful career progression in a growing consultancy.
