About This Role
The Logistics Operative plays a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of matchdays and events across Selhurst Park.
Responsible for the movement, storage and organisation of food, beverages, equipment and disposables, the role ensures kiosks, bars and hospitality areas are fully stocked, organised and operational.
Working as part of the Public Catering team, the Logistics Operative helps maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety and operational efficiency, ensuring an exceptional experience for supporters, guests and clients.
Responsibilities
- Receive, check and store food, beverage and equipment deliveries.
- Ensure stock is rotated and stored in accordance with company procedures.
- Support stock counts and stock reconciliation activities.
- Report shortages, damages and discrepancies to management.
- Maintain accurate stock records where required.
- Prepare kiosks, bars and catering areas for operation.
- Distribute food, beverage, equipment and disposable stock throughout the stadium.
- Support premium areas and event spaces with operational requirements.
- Ensure units are replenished efficiently throughout service.
- Respond quickly and effectively to operational requests during matchdays and events.
- Maintain cellar areas to a high operational standard.
- Support beer line cleaning procedures where required.
- Ensure food stores, disposable stock rooms and chemical storage areas are clean, organised and compliant.
- Assist with the movement and handling of kegs and heavy stock items using safe working practices.
- Complete HACCP, delivery, temperature and cleaning records accurately.
- Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, COSHH and manual handling procedures.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout operational areas.
- Report maintenance issues, hazards and incidents promptly.
- Work closely with the Stock Controller, Hub Leaders and management team to ensure operational requirements are met.
- Support colleagues across the department where required.
- Communicate shortages, equipment failures and operational issues promptly.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.
- Upholding and promoting the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.
Experience, Skills And Qualifications
- Experience working within hospitality, catering, logistics, warehouse or customer‑facing environments.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends and matchdays.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Previous experience within logistics, cellar operations or stock control (Desirable).
- Experience working in a stadium, arena or large‑scale event environment (Desirable).
- Experience handling food and beverage stock (Desirable).
- Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (Desirable).
- Manual Handling Certificate (Desirable).
- Counterbalance Forklift Licence (Desirable).
- Personal Licence Holder (Desirable).
- First Aid qualification (Desirable).
