About This Role

Crystal Palace FC Women’s team are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Coach to support our Women’s Team Head coach. The successful candidate will assist in creating and implementing effective training programs and ensuring the overall success of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Coach in creating and implementing effective training programs that improve the technical, tactical, physical, and mental abilities of the team.
  • Collaborate with the coaching staff to create and execute game strategies that maximise the team's strengths and exploit the weaknesses of the opposition.
  • Assist in managing team personnel, including helping to select the starting line-up, making substitutions, and managing player discipline.
  • Help foster a positive team culture that emphasises sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal development.
  • Work closely with players to provide individualized feedback, instruction, and support.
  • Assist with scouting and recruiting talented players to improve the overall quality of the team.
  • Stay up to date with the latest coaching trends, technologies, and incorporate them into the team's training sessions.
  • To attend all training sessions and matches played by the Club.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.
  • Uphold and promote the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • UEFA A Licence (essential)
  • Completion of FootballHER course (essential)
  • UK Anti-Doping Introduction to Clean Sport (essential)
  • Experience working in Women’s football (desirable)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire players, coaching staff, and management.
