About this role:
Join the creative heartbeat of Crystal Palace FC as a Junior Videographer. Working within a small, dynamic video team, you'll help bring the club stories to life through compelling visual content. From high-end feature shoots to behind-the-scenes matchday coverage, this role offers exciting opportunities to travel, grow your skills, and contribute to a wide range of video projects across digital platforms.
The Junior Videographer is a vital part of the Production team at CPFC. Palace TV is the club internal Production unit so we are seeking a creative, multi-skilled operator with a passion for creating video; someone who is dynamic, energetic, proactive, flexible and works at pace. While you'll be expected to take on junior-level tasks, this role offers constant exposure to high-level productions and creative processes. You'll be encouraged to learn on the job, take initiative, and gradually grow into larger responsibilities as your skills and confidence develop.
Responsibilities:
- Shooting on a Sony FX6 & FX3 for match & feature content
- Shooting on a Sony FS7 for live streams
- Filming matches, Academy live streams, training, interviews and assist on other entertaining long and short form features
- Play a key role in producing match highlights and post-match content.
- Support the creation of high-end features and promotional campaigns.
- Capture matchday footage, including travel to away games.
- Cover commercial events and activations for the marketing team, showcasing club partners and brand collaborations.
- Editing content from the above shoots on Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects creating multiple VT edits, optimised for each digital/social platforms.
- Contribute to content ideation.
- Experimenting with fresh visual ideas.
- Following shoot plans, assembling camera and lighting, responding quickly to directions.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.
- Upholding and promoting the Club policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- We welcome those at the start of their career in production, but previous experience working in football would be advantageous.
- A strong knowledge of camera and lighting setups.
- Experienced user of Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects.
- A highly organised individual, who can multi-task and work at pace, with an exceptional eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attitude: someone who has stamina, persistence and patience in equal measure, enthusiasm, a proactive manner with a can do attitude.
- A team player who is also comfortable working under their own initiative.
- A willingness to work out-of-hours and weekends, and to tight deadlines.
- A keen interest in and knowledge of Premier League football, not necessarily Palace.
- Keen interest in visual/editorial trends.
- A good understanding of digital video platforms and social media platforms.
