We are seeking a reliable and skilled HIAB Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in vehicle recovery, vehicle transport, vehicle inspection and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service. This role involves transporting vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a 7.5 tonne flatbed lorry or a 5.2 tonne beavertail for the collection & delivery of vehicles to various locations with shared use of a 12.5 tonne HIAB street lifter.
  • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of vehicles, including flatbed and street lifter operations when required.
  • Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding collection schedules and any potential delays.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
  • Provide excellent customer service during collections & deliveries, representing the company positively.

Qualifications

  • Valid UK driving licence with a category C entitlement (Up to 32 tonnes).
  • ALLMI Certification.
  • Previous experience as a vehicle collection or recovery driver is essential.
  • Familiarity with flatbed driving is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
