We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function across a portfolio of businesses. This is a pivotal role, requiring an individual with exceptional technical expertise and the ability to manage the financial operations of multiple entities simultaneously.
The successful candidate will have proven experience running consolidated accounts and reporting for a group structure or multi-company environment (circa 25 companies).
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all aspects of financial management across multiple companies within the group.
- Produce accurate and timely consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax filings, and audit obligations.
- Develop and maintain robust financial systems, processes, and internal controls.
- Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting for multiple entities.
- Provide strategic financial insight and analysis to support senior leadership decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and accuracy.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and external advisors as required.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong track record as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager.
- Essential: Experience managing accounts for multiple entities (25 companies).
- Deep knowledge of UK accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements.
- Excellent systems knowledge (ERP/accounting software, Excel, and reporting tools).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Commercially astute, with the ability to translate financials into actionable business strategy.
