We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join a growing finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role is ideal for a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant looking to develop within a dynamic financial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
- Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts in line with relevant standards (e.g., UK GAAP / IFRS)
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions where required
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT returns and corporation tax support
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external auditors
- Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
Key Requirements
- Part-qualified or newly qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
- Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, SAP, or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
