Hours of Work: 40 hours per week working Monday – Friday 9am until 5pm plus participation in on-call rota
Salary Range: from £52,650.00 guaranteed, up to £61,650.00 (depending on experience, qualifications and earned bonuses)

Your Role - Job description:
- Lead the overall management and performance of the residential home in line with the Statement of Purpose and Ofsted/CIW regulations
- Provide effective leadership, support and supervision to the team
- Maintain high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance with legal frameworks
- Ensure children’s care plans meet their emotional, educational, social, and therapeutic needs
- Conduct audits, internal quality checks, and prepare for Regulation 44 and Ofsted/CIW inspections
- Manage rotas, staffing levels, handovers, and resource planning
- Contribute to budget management and operational decision-making
- Promote positive outcomes through trauma-informed, inclusive, and therapeutic approaches
What we are looking for:
Essential:- 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within residential childcare
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of child development, trauma, and therapeutic care approaches
- In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, care standards, and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015/ Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate staff teams
- Confident use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to plan, delegate, and manage a dynamic workload
- Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to perform under pressure
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Willingness to complete Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification
- Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management
- Experience with therapeutic frameworks or therapeutic qualifications
- Demonstrated financial acumen and budgeting experience
- Proven positive regulatory inspection outcomes
