Location: Crystal Care Solutions - Halcyon
This role works a 2:4 shift pattern with sleep‑ins on a rolling 6‑day rota, plus additional periodic shifts to equal an average 40‑hr contract, working over 2 homes.

Your Role
- Build positive, respectful relationships with children and young people.
- Support care plans, development goals, and emotional well‑being.
- Promote safeguarding, routines, and behavioural boundaries.
- Engage young people in education, recreation, and daily life skills.
- Act as a key worker and lead shifts where appropriate.
- Maintain records and liaise with families and external professionals.
Essential Qualifications
- Ability to build positive relationships with young people and colleagues.
- Resilience, adaptability, and calmness under pressure.
- Inclusive, rights‑based approach to care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office (or willing to learn).
- Positive role model with integrity and professionalism.
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and sleep‑ins.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Commitment to ongoing development.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working with children or vulnerable people.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of child development, trauma, and safeguarding.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks.
Required Criteria
- Ability to maintain and develop positive relationships with children, professionals and colleagues.
- Ability to act as a positive role model demonstrating honesty and integrity.
- Ability to work shifts including weekend and sleep‑ins.
- Commitment to complete a Level 3 in Residential Childcare.
Desired Criteria
- Level 3 in Residential Childcare, or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge/experience of therapeutic children's care.
Contract and Salary
Contract Type: Full‑time
Salary: From £28,806.96 yearly to £37,795.89 yearly
