We're seeking a motivated Care Manager to support the General Manager in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the care home, with an NVQ Level 5 or currently working towards one. You will assist the General Manager in the overall direction, coordination, implementation control of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, vision and goals. Key responsibilities:
  • To act as person in charge of the Home in the absence of the General Manager.
  • To participate in the on-call rota for out of hours management.
  • To oversee Residents needs are being met, and that relevant professional agencies and relatives where needed are informed in the best interests of the residents.
  • To monitor and manage PCS compliance.
  • To provide coaching and support for team members to develop their care planning skills.
  • Oversee the ordering and booking in of all medication.
  • Assist with interviews, investigations and disciplinary issues as required.
  • Assist with rota management and staffing ensuring an appropriate skill mix of staff on shift at all times. Ensure the Coolcare rota is maintained.
  • Understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements relevant throughout the homes, including HACCP, COSHH, Health and Safety, all aspects of the Care Standards Act to maintain a safe environment throughout the home.

Hours of work: Full-time Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00

Salary: £46,250 per annum.
