About the Role

As a Care Assistant, you’ll provide high-quality physical, emotional and social support to our residents, helping them maintain their independence while ensuring they feel safe, respected and valued. From assisting with personal care and meals to encouraging meaningful activities and companionship, you’ll play an essential role in making every day special for the people who call our home their own. No two days are the same, but every day is an opportunity to make a positive difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate, person-centred care tailored to each resident's individual needs.
  • Support residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and hydration while promoting dignity and independence.
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents, providing companionship and emotional support.
  • Encourage and assist residents to participate in activities and hobbies that enhance their wellbeing.
  • Monitor residents' physical and mental wellbeing, promptly reporting any concerns and maintaining accurate care records.
  • Respect and maintain confidentiality of all resident information at all times.
  • Support residents to attend appointments and outings where required.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment, including light housekeeping duties and assisting with bedroom preparation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive, supportive and caring atmosphere throughout the home.
  • Comply with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control and all relevant health and social care legislation.
  • Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role as directed by the General Manager.

  • Previous care experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Working Pattern

You will work on a permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on followed by three consecutive shifts off.

Available Contracts

  • Part Time Earlies: 7:00am - 2:30pm (Average 26.25 hours per week)
  • Part Time Evenings: 2:30pm - 10:00pm (Average 26.25 hours per week)

Pay Rates £13.79 per hour
