As a Kitchen Assistant, you will assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in keeping everything clean and tidy when preparing meals. Working within the kitchen is a fast paced role, therefore communication and team work are mutually important. Prioritising your workload, getting tasks done and pride in your work is essential. Key Responsibilities: -To help to prepare a variety of meals which are appealing, nutritious and centres around residents preferences, requests or any special dietary requirements. -To ensure the home is a friendly, supportive working environment. -To understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements such as HACCP, Health and Safety, COSHH, Environmental Health, ensuring a safe environment within the home. -Maintain cleaning schedules that meet the requirements of the HACCP Manual, and ensure that all areas of the kitchen are immaculately clean.
