We're seeking a motivated Care Manager to support the General Manager in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the care home, with an NVQ Level 5 or currently working towards one. You will be a vital member of our family-oriented environment at Bradshaw Lodge, Shripney, Bognor Regis! You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and staff. You will assist the General Manager in the overall direction, coordination, implementation control of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, vision and goals. Key responsibilities:
- To act as person in charge of the Home in the absence of the General Manager.
- To participate in the on-call rota for out of hours management.
- To oversee Residents needs are being met, and that relevant professional agencies and relatives where needed are informed in the best interests of the residents.
- To monitor and manage PCS compliance.
- To provide coaching and support for team members to develop their care planning skills.
- Oversee the ordering and booking in of all medication.
- Assist with interviews, investigations and disciplinary issues as required.
- Assist with rota management and staffing ensuring an appropriate skill mix of staff on shift at all times. Ensure the Coolcare rota is maintained.
- Understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements relevant throughout the homes, including HACCP, COSHH, Health and Safety, all aspects of the Care Standards Act to maintain a safe environment throughout the home.
