About the Role
As Care Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in the day-to-day leadership of the home, supporting the General Manager in delivering safe, effective and compassionate care while ensuring operational excellence. You'll oversee care delivery, mentor and develop the care team, monitor quality standards and champion person-centred care, creating an environment where residents can live fulfilling, dignified and enriched lives. You'll also contribute to the implementation of key projects and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring they align with Crystal Care Collection's values, vision and commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager with the day-to-day leadership and operation of the home.
- Lead, motivate and develop the care team to deliver exceptional person-centred care.
- Monitor and evaluate care delivery, ensuring residents' needs are met through high-quality, individualised care plans.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Social Care legislation, CQC standards and company policies and procedures.
- Conduct supervisions, appraisals and performance management conversations to support colleague development.
- Assist with recruitment, induction and ongoing training to build and retain a high-performing team.
- Monitor staffing levels and support effective rota planning to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and contribute to audits, action plans and service development.
- Promote a positive culture where compassion, dignity and respect are at the heart of everything we do.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Essential
- Holds, or is working towards, an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Has previous leadership experience within a residential, nursing or healthcare setting.
- Demonstrates excellent knowledge of person-centred care and regulatory requirements.
- Has strong leadership, coaching and people management skills.
- Is organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leads with compassion, professionalism and integrity.
Desirable
- Experience supporting CQC inspections and quality improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of Person Centred Software (PCS).
- Experience managing audits, care planning and compliance processes.
Working Pattern
Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm Full Time Flexibility may occasionally be required to support the operational needs of the home.
Salary
£46,250 per annum
