We're looking for a dedicated Care Team Leader / Deputy Manager to join our team and play a key role in leading our care teams, maintaining the highest standards of care and supporting the day-to-day running of the home.

About the Role

As a Care Team Leader / Deputy Manager, you'll lead by example, supporting and mentoring care teams to deliver person-centred care that enables residents to live fulfilled, enriched and dignified lives.

Working closely with the General Manager and Care Manager, you'll help ensure the home operates safely, effectively and in line with regulatory requirements, while promoting a positive culture for both residents and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the home outside office hours or in the absence of the General Manager and/or Care Manager, ensuring safe and effective operation.
  • Lead, coach and support the care team to deliver outstanding person-centred care.
  • Provide high-quality personal care in accordance with individual care plans.
  • Act as a Key Worker for allocated residents, ensuring their needs and preferences are fully understood and met.
  • Assist in developing, reviewing and implementing individual care plans.
  • Undertake Move-In Assessments as delegated and contribute to decisions regarding admissions.
  • Safely order, administer and record medication in line with company procedures and legislation.
  • Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and ensure colleagues do the same.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control and all relevant health and social care legislation.
  • Complete quality audits, supervisions and appraisals as delegated by the management team.
  • Support the delivery of hands-on care whenever required.
  • Participate in the home's emergency on-call rota.

About You

We're looking for someone who

  • Holds an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Has previous experience in a senior care or leadership role.
  • Is passionate about delivering exceptional resident care.
  • Leads by example and enjoys coaching and developing others.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Can remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Is committed to maintaining high standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Working Pattern

This role operates on a permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on followed by three consecutive shifts off.
