Hours of work:
Your hours of work will be 08.00 to 17.00 and you will be required to work on a rolling rota of three shifts on, three shifts off. This equates to an average of 31.5 hours per week in total.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cook breakfast items as required for the residents.
- Prep any foods as directed by the Head Chef
- To ensure that all kitchen equipment and kitchen areas are cleaned according to the cleaning schedules.
- To ensure statutory and Company Health and Safety Regulations are adhered to.
- To ensure correct storage of all dry and perishable cook-chill goods as soon as possible after receipt and checking.
- To ensure the correct, safe storage of cleaning materials.
- To ensure that all pots, pans, cooking utensils and service counter containers are cleaned to the required standards and correctly stored after cleaning.
- Carry out any other reasonable instructions given by the Head Chef and/or Home
- To have full understanding of H.A.C.C.P
To ensure that the kitchen and related areas are always maintained in a clean and safe condition, observing and maintaining food hygiene standards and safety rules. You\’re a good team player who takes pride in their job and is happy to go the extra mile. Led by the Head Chef, you will make sure all kitchen equipment and areas are properly cleaned.
As part of our hard-working team, you will also help prepare tasty, nutritious meals that our residents and guests will enjoy. You will support the chefs by cooking breakfast in the mornings and at main mealtimes, under the direction of the chefs ensure the food is delivered in a timely manner to all our residents. You will be responsible for safe, hygienic food storage and for making sure kitchen equipment and cleaning materials are kept in their correct places.
Experienced required:
- Basic Education including Maths and English
- To understand and ability to adhere to infection control, health and safety/COSHH guidelines
- Proven communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven ability to organize priorities
The post holder must maintain standards as required in adherence to the Company\’s policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with infection control procedures.
