We're looking for a dedicated Night Care Team Leader / Night Deputy Manager to join our team and play a key role in leading our night care team, maintaining the highest standards of care and ensuring our residents enjoy safe, comfortable and peaceful nights., As a Night Care Team Leader / Night Deputy Manager, you'll lead by example, supporting and mentoring the night care team to deliver outstanding person-centred care that enables residents to live fulfilled, enriched and dignified lives.
You’ll be responsible for the smooth and safe operation of the home throughout the night, taking charge outside normal office hours and ensuring high standards of care, regulatory compliance and resident wellbeing are maintained at all times.
Working closely with the General Manager and wider management team, you’ll help create a positive culture where both residents and colleagues can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the safe and effective running of the home throughout the night, acting as the person in charge outside office hours or in the absence of the General Manager.
- Lead, coach and support the night care team, ensuring exceptional person-centred care is delivered consistently.
- Deliver and oversee high-quality personal care in accordance with individual care plans, promoting dignity, independence and choice.
- Act as a Key Worker for allocated residents, ensuring their care plans are implemented, reviewed and updated to reflect their changing needs.
- Safely administer, order and record medication in accordance with company policies, regulatory requirements and best practice.
- Monitor residents' physical and emotional wellbeing, responding promptly to concerns, escalating where appropriate and maintaining accurate care records.
- Liaise effectively with healthcare professionals, emergency services, relatives and the on-call management team to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide supervision, guidance and ongoing support to Senior Care Assistants and Care Assistants, promoting best practice and maintaining high standards across the night team.
- Support the induction, coaching and development of newly appointed care colleagues, fostering a positive and supportive working environment.
- Complete delegated audits, quality checks, supervisions and other management responsibilities as required.
- Support residents' emotional, social and wellbeing needs, encouraging meaningful engagement whenever appropriate.
- Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, ensuring all colleagues do the same.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control, Safeguarding and all relevant health and social care legislation.
- Provide hands‑on care and practical support wherever required to ensure residents receive exceptional care throughout the night.

Who we are looking for
- Holds an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Has previous experience working in a Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader or leadership role within a residential or nursing care environment.

- Has experience administering medication and maintaining accurate care documentation.
- Has excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- Leads by example and enjoys coaching, mentoring and developing colleagues.
- Can remain calm, confident and professional when managing emergencies or unexpected situations.
