Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the home outside office hours or in the absence of the General Manager and/or Care Manager, ensuring safe and effective operation.
- Lead, coach and support the care team to deliver outstanding person‑centred care.
- Provide high-quality personal care in accordance with individual care plans.
- Act as a Key Worker for allocated residents, ensuring their needs and preferences are fully understood and met.
- Assist in developing, reviewing and implementing individual care plans.
- Undertake Move‑In Assessments as delegated and contribute to decisions regarding admissions.
- Safely order, administer and record medication in line with company procedures and legislation.
- Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and ensure colleagues do the same.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control and all relevant health and social care legislation.
- Complete quality audits, supervisions and appraisals as delegated by the management team.
- Support the delivery of hands‑on care whenever required.
- Participate in the home's emergency on‑call rota.
About You
- Holds an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Has previous experience in a senior care or leadership role.
- Is passionate about delivering exceptional resident care.
- Leads by example and enjoys coaching and developing others.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Can remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
- Is committed to maintaining high standards and regulatory compliance.
Working Pattern
This role operates on a permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on followed by three consecutive shifts off.
Shift Options
Full Time Days 8:00am - 8:00pm Average 42 hours per week
Pay Rates
£18.22 per hour
