Crysalys Foundation is a charity dedicated to helping children and young people understand and recover from trauma. Our vision is to build a world free from trauma. Guided by our Theory of Change, we focus on preparing youngsters with trauma for healthier and happier futures while supporting partners in adopting trauma-informed strategies. Our strategic purpose is to advance understanding, resources, and recovery for trauma. Crysalys is now looking for two part-time, interim specialists to help support its growth and the development of our flagship Youth Court Solutions Project, nationally recognised for its work across trauma, youth disadvantage, alternative provision and youth justice.
Both roles will work closely with the Chair of Crysalys, trustees and external stakeholders and will help strengthen our governance, project management and impact measurement. The roles are ideal for experienced practitioners, consultants or associates seeking flexible, meaningful and strategically influential work.
Role 1: Theory of Change & Impact Evaluation Practitioner(Part-Time Consultant / Associate – 2 to 2.5 days per week)
You will be an experienced and values-driven Theory of Change & Impact Evaluation Practitioner with the skills and experience to help to shape the strategic impact, evidence base and learning infrastructure of the Crysalys Foundation. Your key duties will include:
- Development and refinement of organisational and programme-level Theory of Change frameworks
- Data management, monitoring, metrics and impact evaluation systems
- Design and delivery of practical reporting dashboards, impact reports and evidence frameworks
- Development of social impact narratives for funders and stakeholders
- Stakeholder engagement with delivery partners, funders and county-level collaborators
- Advising on ethical data capture, outcomes measurement and organisational learning systems
You will be suitably qualified to deliver the above objectives and the following experience is also essential:
- Theory of Change methodologies
- Social impact evaluation and measurement and qualitative impact storytelling
- Youth justice, trauma-informed practice, education, health or community development
- Report and bid writing for funders, boards and public sector stakeholders
(Part-Time Consultant / Associate – 2 to 2.5 days per week)
You will be a highly organised, structured and strategically minded Project Manager who will support a critical period of organisational growth, reviewing programme coordination and national rollout activity. The successful candidate will combine strong operational delivery skills with the ability to work confidently across complex stakeholder environments spanning charities, local authorities, education, justice and community organisations.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordination and monitoring of programme and stakeholder activity across Crysalys and YCS
- Development and implementation of a project management framework for county franchise activity
- Coordination support for the planned establishment and subsequent delivery of a new CIO structure
- Support for board reporting, delivery monitoring and operational planning
- Liaison with programme leads, trustees, funders and external delivery partners
You will be suitably qualified to deliver these objectives and the following experience is also essential:
- Project or programme management within complex stakeholder environments
- Charity, public sector or social enterprise delivery environments
- Governance, risk management and reporting frameworks
- Strategic planning and implementation tracking
- Operational systems and process transformation
- Excellent written communication and organisational skills
- Working within youth justice, education, wellbeing, trauma-informed practice or community development environments.
This role would suit a highly capable project manager, programme coordinator or operational lead looking for flexible and purpose-driven work with meaningful social impact.
