This is a mission-critical product leadership role at the heart of Crypto.com's global trading engine. As Product Director, Core Banking & Payments, you will own the end-to-end product strategy for fiat pay-in (deposits) and pay-out (off-ramp) capabilities - the infrastructure that enables millions of Retail, Private, and Institutional clients to move money in and out of the platform, instantly, globally, and reliably. You will define where we build, which rails we use, which banks we partner with, and how we route transactions - with direct accountability for Total Funds Flow, acceptance rates, settlement speed, and cost-per-transaction across every market we operate in. This role reports to the VP of Product, Banking.
Global Banking Network
- Build and optimize cross-border payment infrastructure across all markets, ensuring maximum rail coverage and uptime for fiat access.
Speed & Latency
- Select and integrate payment rails based on transaction speed requirements (T+0 vs T+1) to support instant trading activities.
Liquidity & Settlement
- Structure banking partnerships to maintain zero (or near-zero) downtime liquidity for mass user pay-outs and high-frequency trading settlement.
Acceptance Rate Optimization
- Drive meaningful improvements in pay-in acceptance across credit card, debit card, and bank transfer channels by optimizing processor relationships, fraud rules, and compliance logic.
Strategic Bank Partnerships
- Lead commercial negotiations and technical integrations for direct bank relationships - securing preferential rates, dedicated service levels, and custom solutions tailored to trading businesses.
Payment Orchestration & Routing
- Design and own the logic for a dynamic routing engine that selects the optimal rail in real time based on user segment, jurisdiction, currency, speed, and risk profile.
Institutional On-Ramp
- Build compliant and scalable fiat payment solutions for institutional clients - including segregated bank accounts, high-value wire processing, and bulk pay-out APIs.
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of product leadership experience, with at least 7 years focused on payment infrastructure or core banking products.
- Demonstrated success building and scaling cross-border payment rails in a high-volume, real-time environment.
- Experience with direct bank integrations (not just white-label PSPs) and commercial partnership negotiation.
- Track record of leading payment orchestration and dynamic routing logic in production.
- Experience building fiat solutions for institutional clients (segregated accounts, wire processing, bulk APIs).
- Background in or significant exposure to trading, exchange, or fintech environments.
- Technical acumen across complex API products, data flows, and payment protocol integrations.
- Hands-on experience with core banking platforms and/or payment scheme integrations (SWIFT, SEPA, FPS, ACH, etc.).
- Experience integrating with bank partners, PSPs, and acquiring processors.
- Strong people management capabilities - you develop and hold a high bar for your team.
- Excellent stakeholder management across engineering, legal, compliance, finance, and senior leadership.
