The opportunity
We are hiring a Rust Engineer to our Accounting squad, where you will drive the technical development powering cost basis and PnL computations, staking, derivatives, accruals, and high-volume reporting pipelines. In this role, you will tackle complex accounting challenges at the forefront of digital assets and traditional finance. You will build the backbone for regulatory compliance, reporting, and audit readiness in the crypto sector, making a measurable impact for the world’s most innovative financial players.

What you will do
- Drive the development of core systems for Cryptio’s SaaS accounting platform, ensuring robust and scalable customer workflows
- Architect, optimise, and maintain data-heavy solutions for financial reporting, reconciliation, and ledger automation
- Collaborate with staff engineers, product, and other teams to deliver features aligned with customer and business needs
- Identify, troubleshoot, and proactively resolve performance issues at scale
- Mentor and support the growth of engineers across the squad
- Contribute to codebase reliability by documenting best practices and enabling knowledge sharing across the company
We are looking for someone who
- Has experience building and shipping production software
- Is comfortable working with Rust and eager to deepen their expertise in it
- Has hands-on experience (or a strong interest in learning) TypeScript and frameworks like Nest.js, Zod, or Slonik
- Is curious about crypto and accounting, or brings relevant domain experience
- Enjoys working on high-performance systems and diving into technical challenges involving large datasets
- Has worked with (or is open to learning) OLAP databases such as ClickHouse, as well as PostgreSQL
- Communicates clearly in English and values working collaboratively with others
- Is interested in mentoring, sharing knowledge, and growing with the team
- Approaches problems analytically and is passionate about building future finance infrastructure in crypto
