Our client is a highly respected independent insurance brokerage with branches throughout the UK. They have recently undergone a rebranding exercise and are now keen to push on with growing the business in the Yorkshire area.
Due to these exciting growth plans, a new role has been created for an SME Broker / Developer to join the team in Wakefield. This role will involve taking a lead on all SME commercial clients, both existing and new enquiries as well as developing the business in the local are via marketing campaigns.
As the team grows, this role will naturally evolve into a more senior Team Leader role, with you managing the team, providing support and working with the Branch Managing Director in a more strategic capacity developing the team; this will also involve training, recruiting etc.
Ideal applicants will have a good all round knowledge of most SME commercial insurance classes, be an effective communicator, a team player, new business oriented and with at least 3 years previous commercial insurance experience. Our client is in the process of moving onto Acturis, so previous use of the Acturis system would be beneficial.
CII studies will be fully supported. You will be provided with an excellent salary and a full and comprehensive benefits package.
