This is a new and exciting opportunity to work for one of the UK’s leading insurance companies as a Senior Development Financial Lines Underwriter.
This would be working the Midlands broker panel/markets however you could be based in the North or South of Birmingham with some remote working and being in the office maybe a couple of times a month.
You will be responsible for finding, developing, and growing new business opportunities within the Financial Lines team, and be the most senior underwriter within the region. Actively identify opportunities to cross-sell and build the whole business. The role will focus on you becoming an integral part of the team servicing an allocated panel of brokers and maximising conversion/retention rates and profitability within the company’s product guidelines and to develop close, effective relationships with brokers. Within the role you would also work closely with their Existing Business Team on large or complex risks.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience within Financial Lines underwriting (P.I) environment and have previously built and maintained key broker relationships. You will also need to demonstrate that you have drive, self-motivation, and determination to achieve results, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills combined with a proven track record of relationship management and customer focus. In addition, you will need to be a team player but also be able to work under your own initiative. ACII or progression towards this would be an advantage.
Attractive basic salary circa £55k to £70k, achievable bonus 10%, excellent pension, and other great staff benefits would come as standard with this role.
