Commercial Broker / DA underwriter – Leeds City Centre

Our client is a quality commercial insurance brokerage located in Leeds City centre, a short walk from the station. Having dealt with this business for many years, the feedback has always been very positive. They provide an excellent working environment, very team oriented with a good social element. They currently work on a 3 days in, 2 days from home basis.

They currently have a job opening within one of their commercial teams, dealing with numerous commercial insurance schemes, connected to specialist sectors. On a daily basis you will be speaking with clients and insurers, assisting the Account Executives in placing new business, making amendments to existing policies and marketing and negotiating renewals.

On top of this you will be working with delegated underwriting authority on certain risks, using risk information to calculate premiums and negotiating with insurer partners where the risk is referred or does not quite fit the schemes.

Previous use of Acturis system and progress towards ACII studies would be beneficial and will be fully supported. If you haven’t used Acturis, full system training can be provided.

This role would be perfect for an ambitious candidate, perhaps currently working with SME clients but keen to move up into mid-market or and experienced mid-market broker looking for a change of scenery.
