If you are an experienced Business Development Manager (HNW/Private Clients) who is looking for a new exciting career opportunity with an exceptional MGA/company, then this could be an ideal career move.

You will need to be residing in and around the North of England (Ideally Yorkshire or Lancashire), where this is a home-based role, with their Head Office being based in London, where you will not be micromanaged, and a great deal of autonomy would be provided. In additional you will be provided with additional support from senior management and a strong team of underwriters to ensure you can maximise every possible opportunity to being successful in performing this role to its full potential.

Due to the company going through a significant growth and development programme this is an ideal time to be joining the business where you’ll work the broker markets within the North of England & surrounding areas. The reason for this opportunity is a newly created role and there is therefore massive scope to make an impact within the company/region.

This will include inheriting an existing portfolio of insurance intermediaries focusing on retention and there is also a significant emphasis on developing new business through the current panel of key brokers. New broker partners, and ones that are maybe underperforming who might need a bit of TLC.

This BDM opportunity which requires someone to be sales focused and it would be advantageous if the successful person coming into the business also has existing broker relationships within the geographical area which are transferrable although not essential.

To apply for this role, you will need to have previous HNW/Private Clients insurance experience from either an insurer or MGA background, or both, and are comfortable being in a sales environment working to sales targets set by management.

Within the role you will be required to:-

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifying new trading relationships and broker opportunities for Private Client (mid/high net worth insurance), assisted by collaboration with Regional Directors and commercial BDMs.
  • Operate within a defined geographic area (North of England) with a flexibility to control ‘out of area’ connections.
  • Escalation contact for broker partners.
  • Complete weekly reports in a pre-defined format.
  • Attending regular sales meetings.
  • Arrange joint broker meetings with colleagues as required.
  • Working alongside the company’s Director and Regional Directors to manage strategies.
  • Working in a team of Business Development Managers covering all parts of the UK.
  • Support and work alongside the trading underwriters based in London.
  • No direct reports or line management responsibility.

Attractive basic salary £60k to £85K, generous bonus incentive, PMI. and other excellent staff benefits come as standard should you be successfully appointed.
