An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Manager to join a successful, independently owned property business with an excellent reputation and ambitious growth plans.

This is a varied generalist HR position where you will work closely with senior leadership to shape the people strategy, support managers across the business and ensure an exceptional employee experience from recruitment through to development and retention.

The Role

As HR Manager you will take ownership of all aspects of the employee lifecycle, providing practical HR support while helping to drive continuous improvement across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the full recruitment process from advertising through to first stage interviews and onboarding.

  • Working closely with hiring managers to attract and retain high calibre talent.

  • Developing and improving onboarding and induction processes.

  • Advising managers on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence management.

  • Supporting probation reviews, appraisals, performance management and career development initiatives.

  • Helping to identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programmes.

  • Supporting succession planning and workforce planning.

  • Monitoring employee engagement, retention and staff wellbeing.

  • Conducting exit interviews and analysing turnover trends.

  • Maintaining HR policies, procedures and employee documentation.

  • Ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and HR best practice.

  • Supporting payroll and salary review processes where required.

  • Driving continuous improvement across HR systems and processes.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • An experienced HR professional with previous generalist HR experience at HR Manager level or similar.

  • Confident advising managers on a wide range of people matters.

  • Up to date with UK employment legislation.

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

  • Professional, discreet and able to handle confidential information.

  • An excellent communicator who builds strong relationships at every level.

  • Commercially aware with a proactive, solutions focused approach.

  • Passionate about creating a positive workplace culture.
