The CRUK Scotland Institute is a cancer research institute located in Glasgow with approximately 250 researchers across 30 research groups. We support cutting‑edge work into the molecular mechanisms of cancer development, receiving core funding from Cancer Research UK and additional third‑party income from external grants and industry collaborations. Our reputation for fundamental cancer research is world‑class, particularly in metabolism studies and in‑vivo modelling of tumour growth and metastasis.

The Cancer Research UK Scotland Institute is seeking an exceptional Head of Communications and Events to lead the development and delivery of an ambitious communications, engagement and events strategy. In this key management role you will enhance the Institute’s profile, strengthen stakeholder relationships and showcase our world‑leading cancer research to diverse audiences. As the head of the communications and events team you will drive strategic communications across multiple channels, oversee a high‑impact events programme and ensure that the Institute’s achievements, partnerships and ambitions are communicated with clarity, creativity and influence.
