The Role
Working within a culture of continuous improvement, you will be a key player in the development and upkeep of both new and established machinery. This is a varied, hands-on role based on the shop floor, encompassing preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance across the plant and facilities.
- Maintain a wide range of mechanical equipment, including Manual Lathes, Millers, Planers, and Bar Peelers.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving to drive long-term reliability.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
What We Are Looking For
Essential:
- Qualifications: Minimum ONC or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Proven track record in maintaining machine tools (Manual or CNC).
- Environment: Experience in heavy industry (e.g., metal, presswork, or CNC manufacturing) is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong fault-finding abilities and hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Soft Skills: A dynamic team player with a proactive attitude toward preventative maintenance.
Desirable:
- Skilled in fitting, machining, and welding.
