About the Role
We’re looking for a Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 for a brilliant business in Glasgow. You’ll manage, optimise, and evolve our cloud infrastructure, applying best practices in automation, monitoring, and cloud security. This is a hands-on engineering role, ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, scripting, and working in modern distributed environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Azure & M365 Operations
- Ensure performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of Azure/M365 cloud services.
- Manage provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle of cloud resources.
- Monitoring & Automation
- Proactively monitor systems and resolve issues.
- Implement automation tools and scripts for deployment, scaling, and maintenance.
- Incident & Problem Management
- Investigate and resolve incidents and root causes.
- Drive improvements to cloud reliability and service quality.
- Governance & Documentation
- Maintain up-to-date procedures and compliance with security standards.
- Provide clear reporting and technical documentation.
- Continuous Improvement
- Recommend improvements to cloud design, operations, and architecture.
- Support cloud adoption and infrastructure evolution across teams.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong Azure and Microsoft 365 platform experience.
- Solid system administration background (Windows/Linux/SQL).
- Cloud automation using tools like Terraform, PowerShell, or equivalent.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of cloud-native and hybrid-cloud architectures.
- Knowledge of monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning.
