Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced BMS Project Manager to take on a key role at one of the UK\’s busiest and most complex projects. Based permanently onsite, this role involves managing vital infrastructure projects that help improve the airport\’s energy efficiency, safety, and performance.
You\’ll be part of a dedicated aviation team delivering full-scale Building Energy Management System (BEMS) projects across a wide range of airport facilities – from terminals and plant rooms to energy centres and support buildings. The environment is fast‑moving and highly regulated, requiring strong teamwork and technical focus.
This position suits a hands‑on BMS professional who is confident managing projects, enjoys working with a range of stakeholders, and is motivated by the challenge of delivering work in a critical, high‑profile setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full delivery of BEMS projects from planning to handover
- Develop and track project schedules, budgets and resourcing plans
- Act as the central point of contact for stakeholders, consultants and internal teams
- Monitor on‑site activity, ensuring all works meet quality, safety and airport standards
- Coordinate commissioning and final integration of BMS systems
- Lead regular site meetings and client briefings
- Manage variations, procurement and commercial documentation
- Ensure accurate reporting and documentation at every stage
- Provide day‑to‑day support and guidance to junior engineers
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in BEMS project management
- Deep understanding of BMS systems such as Trend or Tridium
- Strong track record in delivering complex building controls projects
- Excellent stakeholder communication and organisational skills
- Able to work autonomously while contributing to a wider team effort
- Willing to undertake DBS screening
