A leading BMS systems integrator is seeking an experienced BMS Commissioning Manager to support the delivery of a major high-profile fit-out project in London. This is a senior site-based role overseeing the commissioning phase of a large and technically complex BMS installation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing commissioning activities across multiple areas of the project, ensuring works are coordinated, engineers are effectively managed and commissioning programmes are delivered in line with project deadlines and client expectations. The role requires somebody with strong technical and operational leadership experience within large-scale BMS projects, capable of coordinating teams, maintaining standards and driving commissioning progress across a fast-paced live environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the commissioning phase of a large BMS fit-out project
- Managing and coordinating commissioning engineers’ daily workloads
- Ownership and management of commissioning programmes and progress tracking
- Coordination of workpacks, commissioning documentation and checksheets
- Reviewing reports and ensuring quality standards are maintained
- Leading commissioning meetings with clients and project stakeholders
- Managing client communication throughout commissioning stages
- Liaising closely with the Project Manager and Project Director
- Supporting commissioning strategy, planning and delivery activities
- Ensuring commissioning activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme
Required Experience
- Proven experience managing commissioning phases of large BMS projects
- Strong understanding of BMS commissioning processes and project delivery
- Experience managing teams of commissioning engineers on site
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams within complex live projects
- Strong organisational and programme management capability
- Experience coordinating commissioning documentation and reporting
- Good understanding of HVAC systems and BMS control strategies
Desirable Experience
- Experience working on prestige commercial fit-out or large-scale construction projects
- Exposure to major BMS platforms such as Trend, Tridium, Schneider, Siemens, Honeywell or similar
- Strong understanding of commissioning sequencing and project coordination
