We are seeking a Contributing Analyst to join our Fertilizers team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recognized industry analyst to leverage their knowledge and lead the delivery of specific product offerings. You will translate client needs into market-shaping analysis, build your industry profile, and contribute to CRU's thought leadership in the fertilizer sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop robust analysis across the Services within your remit
- Develop perspectives that contribute to CRU's wider content and client engagement
- Build an industry profile as a trusted commodity analyst
- Support Service Leads to identify new business opportunities
- Support client meetings, demos, and webinars
- Build relationships with contacts within your commodity's accounts and wider industry participants
- Respond to client and internal requests for data and answers related to market forecasts
- Contribute to the analysis and forecasts for the Service(s) falling under your remit
- Conduct primary and secondary research, including speaking to and developing relationships with market, industry, and institutional contacts
- Build an understanding of your commodity markets; translating learnings back into CRU's data to ensure it remains accurate and current
- Bachelor's degree from top-tier institution (essential)
- Further education certification in subject relevant to commodity research (e.g. Geology, Economics, Engineering) (preferred)
- 2+ years in mining & metals commodity research, with direct industry experience seen as highly advantageous
- Ability to gather and critically analyse "soft" and "hard" data, including identifying trends and drivers in order to generate conclusions and insight
- Highly numerate with ability to interpret, manipulate, and manage large data sets and understanding of mathematical concepts and processes
- Actively collaborate with the global CRU Analysis team to foster a culture of learning and sharing best practice
- Ability to balance personal initiative and drive with operating collaboratively as part of a group
- Stature to gain the respect and trust of clients through confident communication with market participants across all mediums
