About the role

We are seeking an experienced Customer Accounts Manager to lead the accounts receivable function and ensure accurate billing, effective cash collection, and strong credit control. This is a hands‑on leadership role focused on team development, process improvement, stakeholder collaboration, and maintaining high standards across receivables operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the Customer Accounts function
  • Supervise, support, and develop the Customer Accounts Team
  • Ensure invoices are issued accurately and on time
  • Monitor cash collection performance and aged debt reports
  • Review customer balances, payment allocations, and account reconciliations
  • Manage and resolve complex billing and payment disputes
  • Ensure customer statements and reminders are issued in line with company policy
  • Support month‑end and year‑end close processes
  • Prepare and present receivables reporting and KPI updates
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to resolve account issues
  • Maintain strong controls, processes, and compliance within the AR function
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce overdue debt

Skills & Experience

  • 3‑5 years of experience at senior level, with management experience
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or finance supervision
  • Experience managing or mentoring finance staff preferred
  • Strong understanding of invoicing, collections, reconciliation, and credit control
  • Good knowledge of accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong analytical and reporting ability
  • Confident and professional leader

  • Able to influence and communicate effectively across departments
