My client is a leading player within the SME lending landscape. They hold a significant market share operating since 2018 with an innovative flexible solution which caters to SME businesses across the UK. They are at the heart of the Embedded Finance market, which is the fastest growing part of the Fintech space. They have a brilliant partnership channel led by the Head of Partnerships and a diverse mix of Payment Providers, ISOs, Brokers, and Professional Introducers.
After a couple of large exclusive partnerships last year, the company opened up a secondary sales office in Bristol purely to focus on lead conversion and servicing partner leads. The first 6 months for the team have been brilliant, and we are now looking to expand with a Junior Relationship Manager. This is a brand new role, and you will work closely with the Head of Partnerships to service day-to-day management of partners and work to build stronger relationships with those partners to increase lending volumes for the sales team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Build long-standing commercial relationships with existing partners with the goal of becoming a close working business partner.
- Be the daily contact for partnerships ensuring all expectations are being met and communication is strong.
- Day-to-day query management.
- Streamlining partnerships to create a more commercially viable relationship for all involved.
- Pulling data for the Head of Partnerships and external stakeholders in the team to demonstrate the success of the partnerships.
Essential Skills and Competencies:
- Previous partnership experience within the financial services landscape.
- 2 years experience managing relationships with medium partnerships with the aim to generate revenue.
- Ideally lending, payment, or financial services experience.
- Proactive mindset, relationship building, and commercial attitude to work.
- Hard working, organised, and personable.
- Tech savvy – presentation, Excel spreadsheets, and able to interpret data on partnership success.
- Happy to go and meet clients across the country to build deep relationships.
- Good team player, work closely with the wider sales team.
