Location: Shoreditch – 3 days a week

My client is an established and profitable Fintech with a fantastic 6 years of trading in the UK behind them. After closing a large funding round and hitting 150 people, they are now in scale-up mode, creating an exciting time to join the business. They are a B2C Fintech on a mission to provide a simple and easy wealth management app for the everyday UK consumer. Continued customer acquisition and growth is on the agenda, and this role is all about future thinking with a focus on new product launches, creating lots of autonomy, freedom, and creativity for an innovative compliance manager to work with teams internally and be the voice of regulation from Ideology.

As the Compliance Manager – Product, your responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Shaping new propositions directly with the business, driving a compliant and innovative approach within new product offerings.
  • Working within regulatory requirements to write, review, and challenge regulatory submissions such as business plans, policies, and applications.
  • Reviewing and updating policies, monitoring, and governance frameworks helping the business adapt procedures to new product requirements.
  • Building strong relationships with first line teams to ensure your guidance, challenge, and oversight is relevant to the products and processes.
  • Horizon scanning and reviewing PRA and FCA policy statements as well as FOS publications and market best practice to ensure we’re always learning from what’s happening in the market.

Essential Skills and Competencies of the Compliance Manager – Product:

  • Experience with wealth management products - Pensions, Investments, Savings or Financial Planning.
  • Ability to drive change, new processes, and champion compliance regulation within the business.
  • Solid knowledge of FCA Financial Advice rules including staying abreast of upcoming regulatory changes.
  • Working knowledge of consumer financial promotions regulation including COBS and BCOBS rules is very beneficial.
