Our client is a fast growing, fully independent bank. Due to continued growth, they have a brand-new role for a Relationship Manager with experience of working in Deposits in the Business/ Commercial Banking space. Your primary responsibility will be to attract and manage business and current accounts and deposits. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with financial crime regulations, contributing to the bank's integrity and trustworthiness.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a non-lending portfolio of business and clients by delivering exceptional relationship management with a focus on service quality, responsiveness, and personalised solutions.
  • Guide clients through smooth and compliant onboarding processes, ensuring all internal and regulatory standards are met.
  • Maintain regular engagement to support satisfaction, strengthen relationships, and promote long-term retention.
  • Identify, develop, and convert new opportunities to attract business current accounts and deposits.
  • Use market intelligence, referrals, event attendance, and professional networking to generate qualified leads.
  • Attend and actively engage in industry and business events to represent the bank, raise its profile, and attract clients.
  • Identify customer needs and promote relevant banking products and services (e.g., savings, lending).
  • Effectively manage the sales pipeline by tracking activities, follow-ups, and conversion progress.
