A fast-growing UK specialist lender is expanding its Structured Real Estate Finance team and is looking to hire a Business Development Associate to support the delivery of complex, high-value Bridging property finance transactions.
This is a hands-on role within an entrepreneurial lending platform that’s known for doing bespoke deals, moving quickly and backing its clients across the full property cycle — both commercial and residential.
The Role
You’ll work closely with senior originators, credit and relationship management teams, supporting deals end-to-end — from initial opportunity and credit approval through to completion and in-life management. Over time, there’s clear scope to step into direct origination of your own business.
The lending remit is broad and flexible, spanning bridging, investment, refinancing, portfolio restructuring and capital release, secured against residential, HMOs, commercial and mixed-use assets, land, offices, hotels and portfolios.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting origination and execution across structured property finance deals
- Analysing opportunities and preparing clear, high-quality credit papers
- Managing transactions from credit approval through to completion
- Working with Relationship Management teams on post-drawdown portfolio management
- Ensuring credit policy, AML and KYC requirements are met
- Building strong relationships internally and externally
- Helping improve processes as the platform continues to scale
About You:
- Ideally 4–5 years’ experience in UK property finance with a bank or non-bank lender
- Strong credit and financial analysis skills, including cashflow modelling
- Good understanding of property due diligence and structured lending
- Commercial, relationship-driven and comfortable working on complex deals
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Exposure to complex short-term or bridging finance helpful, but not essential
