Job Title: Business Development Executive
Location: Remote based – Spend time out meeting customers across the UK. We are looking for candidate who is happy to cover UK wide
Office is Windsor based – This will be 5 days a week for first month of training and you will need to be accessible to office for sales meetings, dropping of documents for deals etc
About the Business Development Executive
My client is a profitable scaling lender based in heart of Windsor. After 7 years of trading they have a fantastic brand reputation for quick, streamlined and flexible lending for SME businesses across the UK looking to scale.
After a large investment round & the lending book scaling 2X in 2024, they are now focusing on growth making it an exciting high energy environment to work in – Offering great learning & development opportunities and a fun but productive working environment
We are now looking for a new addition to the BDE team – My client is passionate about building transparent & long lasting relationships with each of the SME businesses they lend to and therefore meet each client in their premises before lending. This is the USP compared to other lenders in the market so we are keen to recruit BDM who enjoys being out on the road, meeting clients & can help my client grow their lending book.
Responsibilities and duties will include:
- You will be conducting site visits to potential borrowers at their place of business to assess if we are proceeding to a lending decision
- Looking to build a strong relationship with the business director – Pitch my clients products & benefits and ensure a suitable lending deal is agreed
- You will be assessing director behaviour, business sector and collating any further documentation required to determine your final lending decision
- You will be looking at the risks involved with the business and put these factors towards the lending decision which you will then present to credit for the deal to be underwritten
Essential Skills and Competencies
- Prior Fintech, Banking or Financial Services experience or if not an interest in the sector with some B2B professional sales experience
- Commercial mindset – Ability to build good relationships & secure lending deals
- Use of own car as you will be required to drive to our customers (monthly car allowance)
- Confident, friendly and a professional manner with Excellent interpersonal and communication skill
- Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities – You will need to collate the data & pitch the deal to underwriting after the site visit
- Knowledge of loan compliance and regulatory standards.
