A Structural CAD Technician is required by my Client in Leicester; a Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy. As a company they provide design consulting services to a multitude of Clients across the building design sector and can therefore offer an excellent array of structural projects to be involved in.
As a Structural Technician you will provide the technical support required to produce the structural drawings and detailed drawings for projects. My Client uses both AutoCAD and Revit however existing Revit skills are not essential for success in the role if good CAD expertise are in place.
The candidate needs to possess the following skills:
- Be skilled in using AutoCAD and ideally Revit Structures although this is not essential.
- Have experience within a construction-based office environment ideally structural engineering although this is not essential.
- Be willing and able to professionally communicate (verbally and written) with clients, other consultants and contractors.
- Ideally have experience in steelwork, reinforced concrete, timber, masonry and foundations.
The salary for this role is fairly varied (£25,000 – £42,000) however this is to accommodate all levels of expertise including those who have Revit experience. Therefore candidates of all levels and abilities in CAD / Revit and structuresare encouraged to applyif the above criteria is met.
