Job Overview:
They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join their dynamic team initially working on a small affordable housing new build development. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction process from start to finish, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a full-time, permanent position based on-site in Sandwell initially.
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage and coordinate all on-site activities, including but not limited to scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
– Ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget, while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies
– Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
– Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any potential issues and implementing solutions to keep projects on track
– Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work is being carried out according to plans and specifications
– Manage and motivate on-site teams, including subcontractors, to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively
– Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, and health and safety records
– Collaborate with the design team to ensure that all plans and specifications are being followed accurately
– Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns or issues that may arise
– Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with building codes, regulations, and other legal requirements
– Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications and Skills:
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, in the construction industry
– Bachelor\’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field or trade background
– Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering construction projects on time and within budget
– Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate on-site teams
– Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
– Sound knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
– Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
– Valid driver\’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
