A fantastic opportunity has arisen with my client, a successful, well established M&E Contractor based in Birmingham who are well respected in the industry. They are currently enjoying continued growth and expansion and are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team. This is a great company who have cultivated a “family feel” with their employees. This has resulted in low staff turnover – the average employee is with them for 10 years. As a business, they offer a nationwide service from concept to final installation, specialising in the design, installation and maintenance of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, drainage, plumbing and electrical solutions for the Residential, Hotel, Care Homes, Student Accommodation, Leisure and Commercial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their dynamic team in Birmingham. The Role As the successful Estimator, you will be responsible for the production of detailed tender bids on projects. Responsibilities include: * Send out queries and keep quotation document up to date. * To complete tenders utilising estimation software. * To present tender for adjudication to management providing all labour/material/prelim analysis. * To complete tender analysis forms. * Provide project analysis and data. * Support Client presentation, provide information and attend negotiations as requested. * Produce accurate and concise tender letters. * Chase tendered work and report the outcome to relevant Manager. * Liaise with supply chain e.g, sub-contractors, manufacturers etc. * Liaise with relevant client all information regarding tender opportunity. * Assist contracts team during project installations. * Attend Operation meetings maintaining communication levels with all departments. * Identify design risks whilst carrying out design and populate the risk register. * Carry out estimation database changes. * Carry out estimates to relevant deadlines. * Provide programme information from tender relevant to pre-construction and delivery programmes. * Transfer/upload all information to our company ERP system (4PS). * Assist with the training of apprentices * Oversee Estimators work This is a great opportunity to join a forward thinking, busy & friendly business with a great orderbook, where you can continue to grow and develop your existing skills.
